who said that the high valley of Susa is a possible destination only for skiing and the Olympic mountains
in fact there are periods of the year that the Susa valley is visited by nature photographers, hikers, nature scholars, and by pilgrims.
That's right: pilgrims travelling the Via Francigena towards Rome.
The Via Francigena is an interesting journey in this section we meet different landscapes of our territory,
I encourage you to discover it at a different time from the "normal" preferred period for the journey between June and September.
There are people who make the Via Francigena in 3 stages at a time reaching places by train or car and walking for 2-3 days, a way to "detach" from everyday life by doing something extremely different.
The invitation to discover it in autumn and winter (check the weather before leaving) in these seasons is completely forgotten because it is thought that the valley is also a very cold place.
Actually the same cold that is found in the city also finds it here, only here the climate is a bit drier so you will perceive it less. in the high valley it is not more than one or two stages, depending on your level of preparation, so if it is a "cold" here at our b & b it is always a nice warm and the rooms are heated to your liking.
The colors of autumn are something fantastic, the leaves of a thousand different oranges, at the top the mountains already have snow.
The goal is not important, but the path,
and we are waiting for you
